CCTV Installation in London

If you run a business in London, a CCTV system is not optional. Whether you manage a hotel, a restaurant, a warehouse, or an office block, the right cameras protect your staff, your stock, and your reputation. We have carried out CCTV installation London-wide for over a decade, working with everyone from small independent shops to large hotel groups like the Radisson Blu and the Edwardian Group. Every system we install is designed for your site. No off-the-shelf packages, no subcontractors — just our own engineers doing the work properly from start to finish.

What Your CCTV Installation Includes

We start by understanding what you need to cover. Some sites need a handful of cameras at entry and exit points. Others need full perimeter coverage, car park monitoring, and internal zones with separate recording. We survey every site before recommending anything.

The cameras we install are high-definition IP cameras from trusted manufacturers. We work with fixed dome cameras, varifocal lenses for longer distances, and PTZ cameras where you need to track movement across a wide area. All cameras are specified for the environment they go into, whether that is an indoor reception, a dark stairwell, or an exposed car park.

The recording side is just as important as the cameras. We install NVR systems that store footage securely for the period your business or insurer requires. You can access live and recorded footage from your phone or laptop. We configure remote viewing ourselves, test it works on your device, and walk you through how to use it before we leave.

We handle all cable runs, fixing, and finishing to a professional standard. We do not leave dangling cables or ugly trunking unless there is no alternative, and we always discuss routing with you before we start. At the end of the job, every camera is adjusted, the focus is set, and the recording is confirmed running.

How the Process Works

The first step is a free site survey. One of our engineers visits your property, walks the site with you, and talks through what you want to achieve. We look at coverage gaps, lighting conditions, access points, and where recording equipment can be installed securely.

After the survey, we put together a written proposal with equipment specifications and a fixed price. No hidden extras, no vague estimates.

Once you approve the quote, we agree a date for installation. Most single-site installations are completed in one day. Larger or more complex sites may take two or three days. We work around your business hours where possible.

On the day, our engineers install, cable, configure, and test the full system. Before we leave, we hand over the system, confirm remote access is working, and explain how to use the basic functions. We leave you with documentation covering your system and what to do if you have a question.

Questions We Get Asked

How many cameras do I need?

It depends on your site. A small shop may need four cameras. A hotel may need forty. We do not give a number until we have seen your property. Our free survey exists so we can give you an honest recommendation based on what is actually there.

Can I access the footage on my phone?

Yes. All the systems we install include an app for remote viewing. We set this up during the installation and make sure it is working before we leave. You can view live cameras and search back through recorded footage from anywhere.

How long is footage stored?

Most systems we install store between fourteen and thirty-one days of footage, depending on your requirements. The storage period can be adjusted. Some businesses need longer retention for insurance or licensing purposes and we can accommodate that.

Do you install cameras outside?
Yes. Outdoor cameras are rated for all weather conditions. We use cameras and fixings suitable for the UK climate and specify the correct IP rating for each location.

Are your engineers qualified?

All our engineers are directly employed by Slam Systems. We do not use subcontractors. Our team is trained and qualified, and we hold NSI accreditation. If anything goes wrong after installation, you call us directly and we come back.
